meeting christmas needs

As part of our social action, every year, Derby City Mission reaches out to underprivileged families working in partnership with a number of churches in Derby, ASDA and the Intu Centre, through donations of new toys for boys and girls aged between 0-17.

Many children are referred, not only through our Jubilee clinics, but also by social/family workers and organisations working with young families and women's refuges. A number of churches in Derby and Derbyshire hold toy services to collect gifts for specific age groups for us.

At the end of 2016, 1,000 children benefited from the generosity of Derby churches and the public.

Christmas Connection operates between 28th November and 18th December.

If you’d like to donate a present, please donate in the collection box outside Debenhams in the Intu Centre or in the collection trolley at ASDA Sinfin or contact Christmas@derbycitymission.org.uk

We were blown away by other people thinking of others and how to help them at Christmas. We were now able to celebrate when we didn’t think we would be able to
