News and events Job Opportunities Trainee Debt & Benefit Adviser We are currently looking to recruit a part-time Trainee Debt & Benefits Adviser. We are looking for someone to train to offer debt and benefit advice and support to some of the poorest, the marginalised, the vulnerable and the least in our city. Previous experience of providing debt and benefits advice or working in financial services is desirable but full training will be given to the right candidate. You will be a self-starter with strong numeracy skills and the ability to work on your own initiative. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to listen and work professionally and courteously with a wide range of people, including volunteers and external agencies. You will be methodical and have attention to detail in recording and monitoring of data. You must be able to prioritise and organise your workload and that of the volunteers, and work well under pressure. You must be able to establish and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of people and maintain confidentiality with clients and be sensitive to the needs of others.
