I am Felicity and I have been a part of Derby City Mission since November 2016 having previously been a Nightshelter volunteer since 2014. I am responsible for Communications which means I have a wonderful job of capturing and sharing the positive impact that our hardworking staff, volunteers and partners have on transforming the lives of many poor and needy people in our city.
Prior to joining the team, I had a varied career in Human Resources and have worked as an HR Lecturer and an Employability Trainer for people referred for training by the Job Centre. From a young age, I was aware of homelessness and the devastation it causes as a result of my mothers involvement at local shelters, I volunteered as soon as I was old enough! Having finally acknowledged that God needs to be in the driving seat of my life, my roots are firm in the foundations of Derby City Mission and I am privileged to be working for God.
My tribe consists of my lovely husband Graham, my daughter Phoebe and twin boys Dominic and Freddie.
I love nothing more than being with friends and family, singing (badly) at my church, Boulton St Mary’s and long distance ‘jogging’ to loud music!
