Phil morton

I am Phil and I have been a part of Derby City Mission since 2014.  I am the Head of Poverty and Relief Missionary having previously been responsible for the Derby Churches Nightshelter.

I have worked in the homeless community for the last 8 or 9 years in a voluntary capacity and believe the role I have has been the coming together of my calling and my previous experience.  DCM is such an exciting organisation to work for.  It is at the forefront of mission for the church in Derby and I believe in the missions in the UK.  I love to see Christians from so many diverse denominations and churches coming together to see God’s kingdom expanded in Derby and into the county and beyond.  To see the gospel shared in such a practical way and to be a part of it is so exciting, DCM is such an amazing tool to be used by the church to see that happen.

I am married to Helen and have 4 children and a foster daughter as well.

I support Notts County and have done for over 35 years, but do like to see Derby County do well as I have lived in Derby for almost 25 years.
