We know how hard it can be to stay motivated when you are searching for work, especially when people feel like they are on their own. The Derby City Mission Job Club is a friendly place where members of the community will get practical help as they seek employment. It’s a relaxed environment with the chance to meet other jobseekers, get support, and gain the tools needed to find work.


We provide training and ongoing support to people who are looking for employment through a six-week interactive course. The course covers topics such as: 

  • Recognising skills to build a CV, 
  • Writing covering letters,
  • How to search for jobs,
  • Interview techniques,
  • Explaining gaps in CV’s, plus much more.

The course is designed to be an easy and effective way to equip our participants in a supportive environment.  

We will help our participants to write a CV, look at what jobs they are interested in, help then search and apply, as well as helping them to feel confident and prepared to attend an interview. 

Our Job Club is completely free of charge and open to all, and run by a team of volunteers who will support and encourage you. 

The sessions run each Monday from 12.30 to 2.30pm at the Derby City Mission Hub at 10 Normanton Road, Derby, DE1 2GW
