Derby City Mission are delighted to be the recipients of the Lionel Massingham Partnership Award for 2020 from Derby Homes.

Julio Abraham (CEO) and Phil Morton (Head of Crisis Support) are pictured collecting the award on 28th September from Derby Homes Managing Director Maria Murphy.

The award was in response to Derby City Mission's Safe Space team going above and beyond in providing support to Derby's homeless community during the coronavirus lockdown at the Holiday Inn Express and the establishment of our new Safe Space facility at 10 Normanton Road.

This award was announced on the 24th September at the Derby Homes Annual General Meeting.  Maria Murphy said of this award, "I don't think we could be in a better place.  If we have to go forward and tackle things again, I think we've got the perfect partners to work with."

Note: The Lionel Massingham Award was created to recognise the work of Derby Homes’ Board Member, Lionel Massingham, who sadly passed away in 2006. Each year, Derby Homes’ employees are asked to nominate partner organisations who they feel have worked well with us over the last twelve months.
