As a charity, Derby City Mission relies on the generous gifts of our supporters to fund all the projects that we run, helping the vulnerable people of the city and reaching people with the Gospel. A significant proportion of our funding comes from individuals, that is people like you, with a passion and a heart for the poor and needy in society. We were blessed, over Christmas, by a great number of people making one-off donations either to the Mission in general or to one of our projects, and we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who gave either a little or a lot - our food bank was bursting at the seams.

As we move to our new premises, and consider the opportunities this presents to increase our mission, we are looking for more people to partner with us financially by setting up a regular monthly donation. The easiest way to do this is by setting up a standing order from your online banking – please call us for details on how to do this.

Alternatively if you are able to make a one off donation, our current appeal is for the Wellbeing Café at 10 Normanton Road. Derby City Mission have been one of a limited number of UK Charities nationwide to be selected to benefit from funding from the Aviva Community Fund.  The fund allows Aviva employees to each donate £60 to worthy causes but is focussed on those with the most public support. We need to reach our target of £4000 by 22nd April to receive any funding at all. We are looking for 400 people who could donate just £10 to help this appeal. We are also looking for more churches to partner with us by holding regular fundraising events. If you’ve got a new idea or want to do something as simple as hold a cake sale please get in touch so we can support you and advertise it through our media channels.
