Announcement issued by Derby City Mission (“DCM”) on 24th January 2022 at 11:45 am

SENIOR LEADERSHIP CHANGE AT DCM

To maintain our resilience, DCM has undertaken a restructure, this only affects two leadership positions. This amalgamates the functions of Chief Executive and Head of Finance to create a new role, combining both financial and operational management. No other roles within DCM are affected and all our ministries are continuing as normal. We will make another announcement as and when we appoint to this new senior role.

We are grateful to Tony Chambers, who recently retired as our Head of Finance and to Julio Abraham, our outgoing Chief Executive, for their invaluable work at DCM.

Nigel Town, Chairman of DCM’s Trustees, said: “Julio’s vision and energy over the last five years has unlocked our potential and propelled us into a new season. Under his leadership, DCM’s reach and impact has grown. Supported by our Trustees, our highly experienced core team are committed to consolidating and building on this. We wish Julio well in his next season and thank him for his significant contribution.”

At DCM, our whole heart and purpose continues to be “Transforming Lives Together” helping people move from chaotic to contributing lifestyles. We continue to live in unprecedented times, when so many feel let down or abandoned. We believe now more than ever is the time to build on our core strengths, working with our partners, supporters and invaluable volunteers to offer physical and emotional support to those across our communities.
