Head of Services

I am Sarah and I joined Derby City Mission in Summer of 2017 as Jubilee Project Manager and Debt & Welfare Adviser. With invaluable support from volunteers, I run the Jubilee clinics where I provide confidential information, advice and guidance to those with debt and benefits problems. I now oversee all the fantastic services and ministries that are coordinated under the umbrella of Derby City Mission.

As a qualified Financial Adviser, I worked previously with clients assessing their financial needs and recommending financial products including supporting people in financial difficulties. I felt God's call on my life to speak up for those without a voice with the talents and skills He had given me. It's a privilege to serve God and the clients I see every day.

I care deeply about those people trapped in a cycle of debt and despair. I love this city and have a heart for people in need.  Working for Derby City Mission is like being part of a big family who inspire, support and encourage each other to follow God's call on our lives.

I'm married to Michael and we have 2 young boys and we attend New Life Church in Derby. We love nothing more than listening to music and going swimming as a family.

The Jubilee project is excellent! Sarah has been so helpful in helping me get in control of my finances. She has helped me apply for benefits that I didn’t even know I was entitled to. I’m not all sorted yet, but I know I will be with the help of Sarah and the Jubilee team. It's brilliant!
