My Place Support Worker

I believe it is important for Christians to connect with and serve their local communities in a way that is loving, kind and giving just as Jesus Christ was, but I also believe that we need to be practical and meet the everyday needs of our communities and that’s why I love my role of support worker, it’s great getting alongside our guests, building relationship with them and helping them to transform their lives.

Prior to joining the team I covered three specific areas in my working life, housing management, support work (for Refugees) and I worked as an engagement officer for a Health and Social Care watchdog.

I attend All Nations for Christ Church which I co-pastor with my husband Patrick Dawkins.  We have two grown up sons and an adorable granddaughter; we are a close family and enjoy spending quality time together at the weekends.

One of my favourite things is walking in the countryside, every Saturday I join our church walking group, heading off to a location in the countryside taking in all the beautiful and breath taking views, looking at the animals, talking with friends, sharing experiences, praying and laughing with the group is a great therapy, the whole experience brings me to a place of well being and one-ness with God.
