Building For The Future

The Summer 2020 Newsletter provides an overview of the developments at our new Hub at 10 Normanton Road which has led to Safe Space opening and staff finally moving into the offices
Outbuildings & Food Bank

As well as the main building, the Normanton Road site has a series of outbuildings. Food supplies donated are offered to those struggling to afford a weekly shop via our food bank and community shop.
Main Hall Facility

The main hall area is a fantastic open space that can be used for all manner of large gatherings, worship events, training and conferences.
Wellbeing Cafe & Toilets

To address the need for well-being in its client base, DCM plans to use the new premises to facilitate a mental health service. Can you support us by donating to the Aviva Community Matched Crowdfunder? Read more about this project here.
Catering Kitchen

In order to support the Wellbeing Café, and provide us with the ability to produce simple meals for the guests of our ministries, we need to create and install a catering standard kitchen.
Unseen Works

Since purchasing 10 Normanton Road in October 2019 a number of structural, infrastructure and certification works have, and are continuing to be, going on behind the scenes. These are mainly unseen to the passer-by but are vital if we are to operate in a safe and secure building.
Staff Office Decoration

The staff will be predominantly housed on the first floor of the main building. Each department has been responsible for painting and decorating their respective office.
Safe Space Development

A major development project at the Hub is to relocate the Safe Space from Charnwood St. This represents a significant investment from both funders and individual donations. Follow the progress as we turn an open space into a Safe Space.
Community Hub & DCM HQ

We have a new Community Hub Building! Read about the overall vision for the Hub and then explore each of the areas to see how the vision is being turned into our mission. Weekly updates are provided for each area of the building as they develop
